Posting is time consuming

It really takes only a little time to post, but for a geek i don't get on the computer much for some reason. Don't know why and I don't want to talk about the same thing very often, so I don't have much to say if I am still thinking on the same subjects. Although i was enlightened on to the idea that there was a kind of law before Moses, which makes sense when I think about Melchezidek. Pre-Moses, the law would have just been less detailed or something like that.Well that is all I have to say for now.

Feel free to comment, only people I know are doin' it so far and they aren't too judgemental.

Adam was created with a brain designed to function forever in face-to-face conversation with the creator of the universe. Then he lived for hundreds of years. I'm betting as he watched the development of whole civilizations of his decendants (the entire history of the United States was just a fraction of his life-span), he passed along some pretty wise advice and took the time to show them how to implement it.
We take two Sunday school lessons to teach about Adam, and only mention his mistakes. I bet there was a lot more to him than that. He had the opportunity not only to write laws, but to instill them as "natural law", based on "normal" relationships between people. Considering it would have been normal for his sons to marry his daughters, that would explain a lot...

Rom 2:14-15
14 For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, 15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,
NAS
Hey Jake,
"the law" has always been...Moses was given a very clear "rock solid" (smile) version of the law.
I like Elaines comments on what Adam must have passed on to his decendants.

I'm with Elaine and Anonymous and you on this. A really cool Bible teacher that discipled me when I was a baby Christian pointed out that once Adam and Eve were obliged to live by the law, God Himself made the first sacrifice for them when He slaughtered and skinned the animals to "cover" them, thus introducing the blood atonement. How cool is that picture of God's plan for mankind?
BTW - nice rebuttal in the paper!

This is interesting - this is the second time I have heard that Jake wrote an editorial in the paper - he hasn't read the local news in a year, at least! Sorry to clarify that, but I've heard it was another Jake we know... should buy a paper to find out!

Scott Rotrock and Jake Cox wrote a looonnnggg letter to the editor refuting "The Science Delinquent" article on the obvious truth of evolution.

It was very well done, and should be posted on the church bulletin board, along with the picture of Shikara White shooting a basket.
